It seems that when they say you'll be super busy during Year 4, its no exaggeration at all.. I've been going to the lab every single day so far, weekends included. It's getting tiring... Especially during this learning phase. Add this to the normal workload and you've pretty much devoted your life to the school.
Dover ITE finally came back to me with a part-time job offer. I'd have loved to take up the job... But it seems pretty difficult with my current schedule. Never thought I'll ever reject menial labour with sadness lol... Hopfeully, not taking on the job will give me enough time for all the other stuff I've been wanting to do outside academia.
Thankfully, I've been granted great company in the form of my roomate. He's a pretty quiet and super amicable fellow, the type who's really easy to talk to and always there to lend a hand. I've been fortunate enough to get him as a lab mate too! We're now not only under the same professor but under the same mentor as well. Although we'll be doing different projects eventually, we're currently sticking together for the learning phase. Thank God for that, as company is precious in the lonely path of a researcher.
