Just yesterday I was thinking about how nice it would be if we had a remote controller for the weather, not unlike the aircon. We could just turn down the temp to get rid of the sweltering hot sauna in SG at the moment.
Hmmm, but then again the world will probably be fighting over which temperatures to use (both when and where... The world is a room, eg. cold SG will probably affect the tropical plants in Malaysia), and who controls the remote. It'll probably affect the global climate too, not that we haven't damaged it enough yet. So yeah, perhaps we're better off like we are now :)
Speaking of damaging the global climate, it's really very scary how natural disasters are popping up all over the place, most recent being the earthquake in Chile...
A sign of times..
Luke 21:25
And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
Truly, natural disasters are increasing at a super alarming rate! Some predict the world will end in 2012, but heck, it doesn't really matter when (and personally I don't think the end days can be so easily calculated). The important thing is that you've accepted Christ before it happens.
2 Peter 2:9/10
9But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;
10Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
Christians are brought together by the grace of God, for we were once scattered and without a guide. There are many still whom I believe God will eventually save, but it is ultimately up to a person to have faith to accept God.
