20For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.
21For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
22But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.
No one has ever said being a christian is easy. As humans, we fall prey to many temptations, and give way to sin again and again... Many a times, we do not realise the gravity of our sins, or are hardened to it. Living in a world where moral values are in constant degradation, we sometimes give in to the tide - joining in the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh and the pride of life that permeates the life of every human. But christians are in constant battle against sin. As long as we continue to pray earnestly and keep our faith, we are sure to keep up the good fight. But alas, many christians still fall, enjoying the debauchery of the world once more while shoving God aside. Just as dogs like eating their own vomit (Disgusting but true!) , and pigs love wallowing in fly-infested mud-pools (cool and shiok?), humans too enjoy commiting sin.
May we learn to recognise the right and wrongs of our actions and thoughts, as we strive to live a godly life.
